APPLICATION GUIDE

 

Step 1: Visit app.powerbi.com and sign in using your Power BI Account


Step 2: Click on the ‘Apps’ option in the left Menu bar

Step 3: To get the ‘Templates app’ from AppSource click on ’Get Apps’ on the top right corner

Step 4: Search for “Winspire Inventory Analytical Report for Dynamics 365 Business Central” in the search bar. Click on ‘Get it Now’

Step 5: After Step 4, the relevant App would have been installed and would appear in the ‘Apps’ section

Step 6: Open the app by clicking on it. We can see Power BI Reports with sample data. To synchronize with your values, click on ‘Connect your data’

Step 7: We need to provide OData V4 URL as an input parameter (See how in Step 8)

Step 8: To get OData V4 URL, open ‘Web Services’ page in Business Central Dynamics 365. Click on any OData V4 URL [ it will open in browser]

Step 9: Then copy the URL link from the start till the word ‘company’. Put this OData V4 URL as suggested in Step 7

[Sample URL: https://api.businesscentral.dynamics.com/v2.0/sample-tenant/ENVIRONMENT_NAME/ODataV4/Company]

Step 10: Once you put the link in, click on ‘Next’ and a new pop-up window will appear for Authentication. Do this using the ‘Sign in and connect’ button. Your data is now connected & the report ready to use

Step 11: Click on any of the Tabs available on Power BI reports’ Home Page to view your desired report. For example, let us open ‘Inventory Value’

Step 12: We can now view the report. If you want to open another report, click on the ‘back arrow’ button highlighted in the red box and repeat Step 11
